Old doesn’t mean incapable. Wrinkles don’t make you less than. Since I was 15 I’ve absorbed all that is: age preservation.

"Don’t pull on your chin like that—you’ll get a double chin."

"Don’t laugh too hard, or you’ll get wrinkles around your eyes."

Soon came my obsession with age.

 “Defy” is my response to those who fear aging. To reclaim what society has ingrained in the word ‘old’ and celebrate all that it is. Be the new “old”.
